Days 1

     We will pick up you in your arrival at any place in Banyuwangi city center. We can pick up you at Ketapang harbour if you came from Bali, We also can pick up you from bus terminal in Banyuwangi or Train station in Banyuwangi cities. Then we will bring you to our authentic accommodation at our simply clean  guest house at Pepito's Guest House, this guest guest house located 10 minutes from main center, so you can very easy discover the city before your travel to Ijen Crater, then check in at accommodation, so you can relax and rest, stay overnight at accommodation and free program

 Days 2

Hello Travelers are you ready to climb Mount Ijen ?

     all right , we will pick up you at 01.00 a,m from accommodation, prepare long pant and warm jackets because it's quite cold, temperature up there about 5 to 10 degrees , we will going by car about 1 hours drive to Paltuding pots ( 1800 meters dpl ), we arrive at 02.00 a.m , 10 minutes briefing from our guide, our guide speak English, he will more explain in location.
it's about 3 kilometer walk to summit Mount Ijen, it's take 1 hours to the top of Ijen plan to arrive at 03.00a.m, then our guide will provide you Special gas mask, Then our guide will bring you inside the crater to see mystery of blue flames, it's about 30 minutes walk slowly going down to crater, rocky trekking down, have more take care for this path, our guide will help you so no worries about this part.

   3.30 a.m already inside the Ijen crater, we having time 1 hours half to see blue flames phenomenon, there are also where we can see Ijen miners work out taking sulfur stone , after we satisfied see blue fire, we have to going up to see sunrise at view point, from that's spot we can enjoying panorama and landscape ijen crater, sunrise coming out at 5.30a.m , best time to see sunrise it's when dry season from July to August.

    after we discover Ijen crater,1 hours walk back to car parking, 8a.m go to coffee plantation, where you can see field of coffee, and also seen clove plantation after that's we going to Jagir Waterfall , you can swim there , prepare your swimsuit, very fresh water, and you will love it ,to enjoy it, after waterfall tour, we back to accommodation, having breakfast, then you can relax or maybe quick shower then we drop off you back to harbor, train station or bus station. end tour

Kawah ijen Tour Package

Kawah Ijen Tours is one of the stunning highlights of a trip through Java and is a regular stop on many tours departing from Yogyakarta and ending up in Bali. The usual way of getting to Kawah Ijen on a tour involves heading to the inland town of Bondowoso and making your way up to the crater’s carpark via the rutted road and returning the same way. Independent travellers usually catch an angkot from Bondowoso to the final town before the crater which is serviced by public transport and then make the final ascent by ojek. But we here at Travelfish.org believe there is a better way for independent travellers to access Kawah Ijen if coming from or heading to Bali which saves time by using the access road leading to Banyuwangi, right next to the port from where ferries depart to Bali.

Since Bondowoso lies inland in the hills 30 kilometres from the main highway which travels along the north coast of Java and Kawah Ijen is a further three hours from there, it takes much longer to travel via Bondowoso when travelling between Kawah Ijen and Bali than the alternative Banyuwangi route.

With this in mind, if travelling from Bali it is possible to hire an ojek in Banyuwangi for the journey up to Kawah Ijen, have the ojek driver wait for you to climb up to the crater. The ojek can then to take you onwards to the bus terminal in Bondowoso or to a waiting angkot in the first town on the way down from the crater that is serviced by public transport, Sempol. This way you can avoid having to backtrack and waste time.

The same is true for those travelling in an easterly direction from places such as Gunung Bromo. Buses from dusty Probolinggo on the coast below Gunung Bromo will take you directly to Bondowoso, where most will stay overnight before taking an angkot to Sempol early the next day. From Sempol it is possible to hire an ojek who will take you to Kawah Ijen, wait for you and then take you onwards to Banyuwangi or a further six kilometres to the ferry port for onward travel to Bali.

The road from Banyuwangi to Kawah Ijen starts off in great condition, but as you get closer to the top, it deteriorates into something resembling the surface of the moon. It’s steep, rocky and even cars have trouble traversing it. But that’s part of the adventure of travelling this way. After a few voluntary motorcycle dismounts and some involuntary near dismounts, you arrive at your destination a good few hours ahead of most other travellers choosing the more circuitous route via Bondowoso.

We know this is not the moon because of the surrounding jungle (and the motorbike).

Whichever route you choose, the utlimate prize is witnessing Kawah Ijen — and that makes everything worthwhile.

The prize that awaits those with determination: magnificent Ijen crater.

Kawa Ijen, le cracheur de souffre

L’ascension du Kawa Ijen reste le souvenir le plus marquant de mon périple à Java. Spectaculaire, majestueux, dangereux, il ne laisse pas indifférent.

Arrivés à Bayuwangi, on appelle Pepe, un guide recommandé par des Canadiens. Dix minutes plus tard, il débarque et nous explique les différentes excursions possibles. On choisi la formule by night, départ à 00H30, randonnée sous les étoiles ! Nous allons pouvoir admirer les flammes bleues du volcan, puis le magnifique lever du soleil du haut du cratère.

On commence par un thé au pied du volcan, puis Pepe nous parle du volcan et des porteurs de souffre, nous emmène au coeur du cratère, les flammes sont impressionnantes, les porteurs de souffre aussi… Nous finissons par admirer la mer au loin, du haut de la crête, avant de redescendre pour un breakfast mérité. Il n’est que 9h du matin, et nous avons fini notre journée. Quelle nuit !
